DMK president M.K. Stalin introduced a special presidential resolution during the party's General Council meeting convened at the YMCA grounds in Royapettah, Chennai. Addressing party elders, district leaders, and thousands of council delegates, Stalin articulated the strategic necessity of adopting the special resolution to guide the party's organizational agenda, policy positions, and mass outreach programmes over the coming year.
The special resolution detailed critical issues concerning the preservation of state autonomy, opposition to discriminatory central policies, and the urgent necessity of ousting the corrupt AIADMK regime from Tamil Nadu. Stalin highlighted that the General Council stands as the supreme deliberative body of the DMK, reflecting the democratic consensus and ideological resolve of millions of cadres. By unanimous acclaim, the delegates approved the resolution, endorsing the leadership's roadmap for progressive political action.
Stalin urged all council members to treat the approved declarations as an operational blueprint for their daily organizational work. He emphasized that the DMK will lead mass democratic movements to protect Tamil Nadu's rights, preserve communal harmony, and champion grassroots social progress until the state achieves democratic restoration and constitutional accountability.
