DMK president M.K. Stalin delivered a dignified response to derogatory remarks made by state minister Ma Foi Pandiarajan, observing that the foul language deployed by the minister revealed his true character and political caliber to the people of Tamil Nadu. Stalin remarked that when political opponents abandon substantive public debates to indulge in personal abuse, it merely exposes their ethical bankruptcy and inability to defend their administrative record.
Stalin invoked the foundational political ethics taught by Dravidian icons Periyar, Arignar Anna, and Muthamizharignar Kalaignar, who consistently advocated the philosophy of 'forget and forgive'—marappom mannippom. He recalled Kalaignar's renowned phrase 'Vaazhga Vasavaalargal'—long live the abusers—demonstrating that the DMK meets personal slander and vilification with political magnanimity, ideological strength, and constructive service to the people.
The opposition leader advised ruling ministers to focus on addressing the acute grievances of citizens rather than debasing public discourse with abusive outbursts. Stalin affirmed that the DMK will never be provoked by vulgar personal attacks, reiterating that the party remains steadfastly committed to civilized political discourse and democratic accountability, public decorum, and institutional respect across Tamil Nadu.
