DMK president M.K. Stalin officially released the academic volume titled Aaseevagamum Ayyanar Varalaarum, co-authored by prominent social justice scholars Professor K. Nedunchezhiyan and Dr. R. Sakkubai. In his address at the book release event, Stalin highlighted that the Ajivika philosophical tradition occupies a profoundly significant place in the ancient intellectual and cultural history of Tamil society, reflecting early rationalist and egalitarian thought.

Stalin observed that Dravidian historical scholarship has continuously uncovered neglected dimensions of ancient Tamil civilization, demonstrating that rationalism, secular ethics, and egalitarian social relations flourished long before dogmatic hierarchies took root. Works of serious historical scholarship like this treatise restore forgotten traditions of philosophical inquiry to contemporary public discourse. He commended the authors for their rigorous archival research and dedication to enriching Tamil historical literature.

The opposition leader affirmed that the DMK consistently encourages intellectual endeavours that protect and illuminate Tamil linguistic and cultural heritage. Stalin emphasized that understanding indigenous philosophical roots empowers future generations to resist cultural homogenization and preserve the distinct rationalist heritage, egalitarian traditions, and social justice ideals of Tamil civilization across future generations and coming eras.
