DMK president M.K. Stalin urged the Union and state governments to follow the social justice path indicated by the Madras High Court, which echoed concerns that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test severely disadvantages poor and rural students. Stalin recalled that whenever the DMK opposed NEET on the grounds that it shattered the medical education dreams of underprivileged aspirants, the central government dismissed those warnings by imputing political motives.

Stalin pointed out that the judicial remarks from the High Court fully substantiate the widespread public opposition against the centralized examination framework. Commercialized entrance testing mechanisms systematically discriminate against impoverished students studying in government schools who cannot afford expensive private coaching classes. This structural inequity denies qualified rural students their rightful entry into government medical colleges, directly harming regional healthcare equity across Tamil Nadu.

The opposition leader demanded that both the central and state dispensations respect judicial observations and initiate immediate statutory measures to abolish NEET in Tamil Nadu. Stalin reaffirmed that the DMK will persistently lead the democratic campaign to defend educational autonomy and social justice for all deserving young students across Tamil Nadu.
