DMK president M.K. Stalin launched a severe critique against the ruling AIADMK government, asserting that its unconditional surrender to the central BJP leadership has become the greatest existential threat facing Tamil Nadu. Stalin pointed out that regardless of how detrimental a central scheme may be to the socio-economic welfare of Tamil citizens, the state administration subserviently endorses and implements it without raising the slightest constitutional objection.
Stalin highlighted numerous instances where the state government capitulated on critical state rights, including the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, the Goods and Services Tax framework, hydrocarbon extraction projects, and agricultural market reforms. By subordinating state autonomy to appease central political masters, the AIADMK leadership has systematically compromised the rights, financial independence, and welfare of Tamil people. This craven subservience has reduced a once-proud federal state government to a subservient administrative outpost.
The opposition leader affirmed that true federalism requires state governments to fearlessly assert their constitutional prerogatives and defend public interests. Stalin vowed that the DMK will persistently lead the democratic resistance against central encroachment and subservient state governance, pledging to restore Tamil Nadu's self-respect, fiscal rights, and constitutional autonomy.
