உயிருக்கு ஆபத்து விளைவிக்கும் தொடர் உண்ணாவிரதப் போராட்ட வடிவத்தைக் கைவிட வேண்டுமென அவர்களைக் கேட்டுக் கொண்டேன். #DoctorsProtest https://t.co/4Irc65UzqW

Editorial context

DMK president M.K. Stalin visited the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital in Chennai to directly meet government doctors participating in an indefinite agitation for long-pending service demands. Speaking with representatives of the Federation of Government Doctors Association, Stalin extended the DMK's steadfast solidarity with their career progression and staffing demands. However, noting the deteriorating health of doctors participating in fasts unto death, he earnestly requested them to immediately withdraw the life-threatening hunger strike.

Stalin emphasized that the dedication of government doctors sustains Tamil Nadu's reputed public healthcare infrastructure, treating millions of underprivileged citizens daily. He stated that skilled medical professionals should not be pushed to endanger their own lives through extreme forms of protest due to government indifference. Stalin pledged that the DMK would continuously pressure the state administration inside and outside the legislature to fulfill their four core statutory demands without delay.

The DMK leader called upon the state government to shed its rigid arrogance and initiate high-level official consultations immediately. He insisted that resolving healthcare workers' grievances through administrative empathy protects public welfare and strengthens vital hospital services across Tamil Nadu.
