DMK president M.K. Stalin appealed directly to striking government doctors across Tamil Nadu to reconsider their agitation mode and withdraw their complete cessation of work. While reiterating that their long-standing career and wage demands are fully justified, Stalin urged the medical community to avoid work-stoppage methods that paralyze vital hospital wards and jeopardize underprivileged patients. He encouraged doctor federations to actively pursue direct negotiations with the Chief Minister to resolve their grievances amicably.
Stalin emphasized that public hospitals are sacred institutions where millions of impoverished citizens seek treatment for critical ailments daily. Complete withdrawal of medical duties inflicts severe hardship on ordinary people who depend entirely on government healthcare infrastructure. Therefore, Stalin urged the protesting doctors to maintain emergency services, abandon total work boycotts, and adopt constructive dialogue with executive authorities to press for equitable wage structures and promotions.
Simultaneously, the DMK leader urged Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami to shed administrative rigidity, invite doctor representatives immediately, and address their demands with genuine sympathy. Collaborative administrative engagement remains the only viable path to ensure healthcare continuity and institutional stability across the state.
