DMK president M.K. Stalin conducted an intensive door-to-door campaign across villages in the Nanguneri Assembly constituency, seeking enthusiastic electoral backing for the Secular Progressive Alliance candidate. Walking through residential streets, markets, and village squares, Stalin directly interacted with farmers, rural women, youth, and shopkeepers to understand local developmental challenges. He highlighted that this crucial by-election offered voters an opportunity to send an unambiguous political message rejecting the incumbent regime across Tamil Nadu.

Stalin pointed out that the rural economy in southern Tamil Nadu had been severely devastated by governmental neglect, unmitigated drought, acute farm distress, and lack of employment opportunities. While successive AIADMK administrations made grandiose electoral promises, key regional irrigation schemes and infrastructure projects remained abandoned.
