DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed an enthusiastic election campaign meeting in the rural village of Esalam within the Vikravandi Assembly constituency, campaigning for party nominee N. Pugazhenthi. Speaking to local farmers, artisans, and women's groups, Stalin emphasized the significance of the by-election in rejecting the anti-people policies of the ruling AIADMK government. He noted that the electorate of northern Tamil Nadu was eager to vote for democratic change and social justice across all sectors.

Stalin highlighted the acute challenges faced by Esalam residents, including neglected rural roads, irregular electricity supply to agricultural pumpsets, and inadequate drinking water distribution. He criticized the state government for ignoring basic rural infrastructure while indulging in widespread corruption across public tenders. Stalin stated that previous DMK administrations had established a sterling record of constructing village schools, primary health centres, and rural roads, proving the party's enduring commitment to village welfare.

The DMK leader called upon the people of Esalam to vote unitedly on the Rising Sun symbol. He promised that electing Pugazhenthi would ensure responsive public representation and swift resolution of pending civic grievances across the village.
