DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed an energetic election gathering in the historic village of Panamalai within the Vikravandi Assembly constituency, seeking decisive voter support for party candidate N. Pugazhenthi. Engaging with local farmers, weavers, and youth, Stalin highlighted the urgent necessity of bringing people-first governance to the constituency. He asserted that the by-election provided the electorate a timely platform to hold the ruling AIADMK government accountable for unfulfilled promises.

Stalin drew attention to the infrastructural neglect prevailing in Panamalai, pointing out that historical sites and rural neighborhoods lacked basic civic upkeep, clean drinking water, and dependable bus transport. He stressed that while the ruling regime had spent years mired in corruption and governance compromises, ordinary citizens bore the brunt of price hikes and economic distress.
