DMK president M.K. Stalin conducted an intensive door-to-door community interaction in Kappiyampuliyur village within the Vikravandi Assembly constituency, seeking backing for party candidate N. Pugazhenthi. Speaking directly with farmers, women's groups, and small vendors, Stalin listened attentively to grievances concerning drinking water shortages, stalled drainage works, and unmaintained village access roads. He stressed that by-elections provided citizens with a direct mechanism to challenge executive apathy.
Stalin condemned the state administration for neglecting agrarian infrastructure in Villupuram district, remarking that farmer distress had escalated due to lack of timely disaster relief and market support. He pointed out that DMK administrations led by M. Karunanidhi had created cooperative loan waivers, subsidized agricultural machinery, and modern cold storage facilities to empower farming communities across the state. Stalin maintained that only a committed regional force could truly defend grassroots interests against centralized indifference.
The opposition leader appealed to the electorate of Kappiyampuliyur to vote overwhelmingly for the Rising Sun symbol on polling day. He assured voters that Pugazhenthi would vigorously champion village development in the Legislative Assembly and address all pending public works across the constituency.
