DMK president M.K. Stalin led an inspiring campaign gathering in Kedar village within the Vikravandi Assembly constituency, seeking a resounding mandate for party nominee N. Pugazhenthi. Welcomed by enthusiastic slogans from party cadres, farming households, and local youth, Stalin remarked that the intense public participation across rural areas signaled an undeniable desire for political change. He stated that the by-election offered voters an essential instrument to hold the incumbent AIADMK government accountable for persistent administrative failures.
Stalin highlighted the difficulties faced by the residents of Kedar, pointing to poorly maintained rural roads, irregular drinking water distribution, and acute lack of veterinary care for local livestock. He criticized the state administration for neglecting vital agrarian infrastructure while squandering public funds on superficial publicity initiatives. Stalin reaffirmed that the Dravidian movement has always championed rural empowerment, recalling landmark welfare policies instituted under DMK governments such as free agricultural electricity and comprehensive cooperative loan relief.
The DMK leader appealed to the electorate of Kedar to vote unitedly on the Rising Sun symbol. He assured that Pugazhenthi would remain accessible to the community and champion all pending developmental demands in the Legislative Assembly.
