DMK president M.K. Stalin spearheaded an energetic campaign rally in Malligaipattu village in the Vikravandi Assembly constituency, urging voters to elect party candidate N. Pugazhenthi. Addressing a gathering composed of agricultural laborers, rural women, and small shopkeepers, Stalin asserted that the by-election presented an opportunity to protest against the deteriorating public services under the AIADMK administration. He emphasized that the electorate of northern Tamil Nadu was prepared to vote decisively for democratic accountability.

Stalin discussed persistent local issues in Malligaipattu, including chronic drinking water shortages, stalled village drainage schemes, and poor street lighting across residential hamlets. He condemned the ruling government for leaving rural communities without basic administrative assistance while focusing entirely on preserving power. Stalin stressed that DMK governance has historically focused on grassroots modernization, highlighting past initiatives that established primary health centres, renovated irrigation water tanks, and constructed durable rural concrete roads throughout the district.

The opposition leader called upon the electors of Malligaipattu to cast their ballots for the Rising Sun symbol. He promised that electing Pugazhenthi would guarantee energetic legislative advocacy and continuous public service for the entire constituency.
