DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed an extensive election campaign rally in the Nanguneri Assembly constituency, seeking enthusiastic voter support for Secular Progressive Alliance candidate Ruby Manoharan of the Indian National Congress. In his speech, Stalin strongly criticized the AIADMK government for administrative inaction, pointing out that industrial growth in southern Tamil Nadu had come to a virtual standstill under its tenure. He noted that lack of state investment had aggravated severe youth unemployment across Tirunelveli district.
Stalin contrasted this stagnation with the DMK's past governance achievements, recalling that previous DMK administrations under M. Karunanidhi had conceptualized and developed the Nanguneri Special Economic Zone to foster industrialization and generate local employment. He pointed out that successive DMK regimes systematically attracted major global manufacturing investments to Tamil Nadu, transforming the state into an industrial hub. Stalin asserted that the AIADMK administration had completely failed to operationalize key industrial infrastructure, depriving thousands of educated young people of gainful employment.
The DMK leader appealed to the electorate of Nanguneri to vote decisively for the Hand symbol, electing Ruby Manoharan to champion regional development and industrial rejuvenation.
