DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed an enthusiastic election campaign gathering in Munanjipatti village within the Nanguneri Assembly constituency, canvassing votes for Secular Progressive Alliance candidate Ruby Manoharan. Welcomed warmly by local farmers, rural women, and party workers, Stalin stressed that the by-election offered citizens an important opportunity to voice democratic protest against the ruling AIADMK government. He stated that the electorate across Tirunelveli district was eager to elect an energetic and committed representative.
Stalin discussed persistent local problems in Munanjipatti, including drinking water shortages, poor irrigation channel maintenance, and lack of regular public bus transport connecting surrounding hamlets to commercial towns. He criticized the state administration for ignoring essential rural infrastructure while leaving public welfare allocations underutilized. Stalin emphasized that DMK governance has historically championed rural uplift, recalling past initiatives that introduced free electricity for agriculture, expanded rural electrification, and established accessible welfare offices across southern districts.
The opposition leader appealed to the voters of Munanjipatti to cast their ballots for the Hand symbol. He assured that Ruby Manoharan would actively represent their concerns and work continuously to resolve pending local developmental demands.
