DMK president M.K. Stalin spearheaded an energetic campaign rally in Vadakkuvijayanarayanam village within the Nanguneri Assembly constituency, mobilizing voter backing for Secular Progressive Alliance candidate Ruby Manoharan. Addressing a large gathering comprising agricultural laborers, local merchants, and youth, Stalin asserted that the by-election was a vital test of public confidence in the incumbent AIADMK administration. He stated that citizens across southern Tamil Nadu were deeply dissatisfied with prolonged governance stagnation.

Stalin highlighted the difficulties faced by residents of Vadakkuvijayanarayanam, pointing to erratic drinking water supply, neglected rural roads, and absence of adequate primary healthcare facilities in the locality. He criticized the state government for failing to provide timely relief to drought-affected cultivators and ignoring local youth unemployment. Stalin pointed out that previous DMK administrations under M. Karunanidhi had created landmark irrigation schemes, constructed rural housing complexes, and waived farm loans to protect agrarian livelihoods.
