DMK president M.K. Stalin carried out an intensive grassroots campaign across the Nanguneri Assembly constituency, engaging in walking tours, informal porch gatherings, and direct conversations with residents to seek support for alliance candidate Ruby Manoharan. While pausing at a small roadside shop for tender coconut water, Stalin interacted warmly with a woman shopkeeper, who expressed her steadfast loyalty to the Dravidian movement. Stalin noted that such spontaneous affection from ordinary citizens reflected deep public trust in the party's historic commitment to grassroots welfare.
Stalin emphasized that direct contact with citizens at their doorsteps remained the most meaningful form of political engagement. He listened closely to the concerns raised by rural women regarding escalating household expenses, lack of dependable drinking water supplies, and absence of microcredit support for small village enterprises. Stalin pointed out that previous DMK governments under M. Karunanidhi had pioneered women's self-help groups and enacted property rights for women, demonstrating the party's enduring focus on gender empowerment.
The DMK leader urged voters across Nanguneri to cast their ballots for the Hand symbol, assuring them of continuous public advocacy.
