DMK president M.K. Stalin conducted an interactive election outreach meeting in Sengulam village within the Nanguneri Assembly constituency, soliciting votes for Secular Progressive Alliance candidate Ruby Manoharan on the Hand symbol. Speaking directly with local farmers, self-help group members, and village youth, Stalin discussed pressing local challenges, including erratic drinking water supply and neglected irrigation channels. He observed that the electorate was eager to elect a representative who would work diligently for their everyday welfare.
Stalin criticized the AIADMK administration for its prolonged neglect of Sengulam's infrastructural needs, noting that irrigation tanks remained silted and public distribution outlets suffered frequent supply shortages. He emphasized that the state government remained disconnected from grassroots realities, failing to support farming households impacted by escalating input costs and dry spells. Stalin pointed out that previous DMK governments built rural infrastructure systematically, establishing schools, health sub-centres, and blacktopped roads to connect rural habitations with major towns.
The DMK leader called upon the residents of Sengulam to vote unitedly on the Hand symbol. He pledged that electing Ruby Manoharan would restore accountable governance and active representation for the constituency.
