DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed a major election campaign gathering in the Nanguneri Assembly constituency, urging voters to elect Secular Progressive Alliance candidate Ruby Manoharan of the Indian National Congress. Stalin highlighted that Manoharan was a dedicated former Indian Army soldier who had served courageously at the national borders to defend the country. He emphasized that electing such a disciplined and patriotic serviceman to the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly would guarantee fearless and principled representation for the constituency.

Stalin contrasted Manoharan's record of selfless national service with the opportunistic conduct of the ruling AIADMK leaders, who had compromised Tamil Nadu's autonomy and surrendered state rights on key issues like NEET and GST. He pointed out that southern districts required steadfast leadership to revive stalled projects, notably the Nanguneri Special Economic Zone and vital irrigation networks across the Thamirabarani river basin. Stalin affirmed that the alliance was committed to reviving regional prosperity and restoring democratic dignity across the state.
