DMK president M.K. Stalin demanded an immediate and unhindered investigation by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption into allegations of a 350 crore rupees procurement scam within the Tamil Nadu Police Department. Stalin stated that public funds meant to upgrade critical communication apparatus for state security had been siphoned off through manipulated tenders and fraudulent purchases. He condemned the ruling AIADMK dispensation for compromising police operational readiness through institutional corruption.
According to Stalin, modernizing police communication networks directly impacts law enforcement capability, crime prevention, and public safety across the state. Diverting funds designated for sensitive surveillance and radio gear reveals that systemic graft has infected the highest echelons of the home administration. Stalin urged the anti-corruption wing to conduct an honest, fearless probe and identify corrupt bureaucrats and politicians who profited from public security procurements.
Stalin stressed that the safety of citizens cannot be jeopardized by administrative kickbacks and sub-standard technical supplies. He cautioned that if the vigilance directorate attempts to suppress the case, the DMK will take the issue to court to ensure complete forensic scrutiny and punitive consequences.
