From the injustice around Anitha's death to the latest malpractices of impersonating candidates, NEET is repeatedly failing our students.
The ADMK Government must immediately press for a ban on NEET examination with the Centre.
DMK president M.K. Stalin demanded that the AIADMK government immediately press the Union Government to scrap the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test across Tamil Nadu. Stalin asserted that from the heartbreaking suicide of Dalit medical aspirant Anitha to recent exposures of widespread proxy test-taking, the examination has repeatedly broken faith with hardworking students. He stated that commercial coaching rackets and fraudulent impersonations prove the national entrance system favors wealthy candidates while devastating rural and underprivileged aspirants.
Stalin recalled that school topper Anitha lost her life fighting for her rightful medical admission after scoring outstanding marks in state board examinations. The latest arrests of students and middlemen who hired impersonators to secure high scores demonstrate that NEET serves as a breeding ground for corrupt commercial syndicates. Stalin declared that the test has failed all standards of academic merit and administrative transparency.
He urged the state cabinet to pass urgent legislation demanding permanent exemption from NEET for Tamil Nadu. Stalin affirmed that the DMK will relentlessly oppose standardized national testing until educational federalism is restored and state entrance criteria based on school curricula are reinstated.
