DMK president M.K. Stalin expressed profound sorrow over the tragic demise of government driver Mani, who suffered a fatal health collapse after being forced to wait under exhausting conditions for the arrival of ruling ministers. Stalin conveyed deep condolences to Mani's bereaved family, condemning the heartless VIP culture that treats public service employees with utter disregard. He characterized the incident as a disturbing manifestation of feudal arrogance and administrative insensitivity within the AIADMK regime.
Stalin demanded that the state government immediately provide substantial financial compensation, comprehensive rehabilitation support, and compassionate government employment to Mani's dependent family members. He pointed out that hardworking government drivers, security personnel, and ground-level administrative staff are routinely subjected to prolonged physical strain, sleep deprivation, and basic indignities merely to satisfy the theatrical display of political VIPs. Stalin stressed that public servants deserve dignified working conditions and reasonable duty schedules.
He called upon ministers and senior administrators to abandon pompous entourages and ostentatious ceremonial protocols. Stalin affirmed that genuine public governance is measured by humble democratic service, promising that the DMK will abolish abusive VIP privileges and safeguard worker dignity.
