DMK president M.K. Stalin expressed profound outrage over the continued failure of Chennai Police to arrest the AIADMK functionary responsible for erecting the unauthorized hoarding that caused the death of techie Subashree. Stalin pointed out that while ordinary citizens accused of petty offenses routinely suffer harsh police custody, the influential ruling party politician has been shielded from arrest for days. He characterized this overt official favoritism as an affront to judicial credibility and democratic equality.
Stalin criticized the double standards practiced by law enforcement authorities under the AIADMK regime. When state police vigorously pursue political opponents and common citizens, powerful ruling party cadres involved in public fatalities remain comfortably protected from detention. Stalin demanded to know whether Chennai Police operates under the constitutional rule of law or acts purely to safeguard politically connected offenders from facing statutory consequences.
He urged administrative and police hierarchies to arrest the absconding politician immediately and initiate stringent criminal proceedings. Stalin emphasized that public thoroughfares cannot be surrendered to hazardous political displays, warning that the DMK will organize widespread public protests until complete accountability and legal justice are secured for Subashree's grieving family.
