DMK president M.K. Stalin strongly condemned the Central and State governments for systematically denying public employment opportunities to qualified Tamil Nadu youth in competitive examinations. Stalin cited recent recruitments across the Southern Railway, Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation, and judicial clerkships, where administrative policies facilitated large-scale hiring of candidates from other states. He characterized this pattern as a coordinated betrayal of local educated youth who prepare diligently for public sector jobs.
Stalin observed that conducting recruitment examinations without mandatory regional language proficiency requirements creates unfair disadvantages for local aspirants while enabling outside candidates to secure jobs in grassroots utility offices. When public utility staff cannot converse with local consumers in Tamil, public administration suffers and citizen grievances remain unaddressed. Stalin condemned the AIADMK government for subserviently surrendering state employment interests instead of standing up for native job applicants.
He demanded that both Union and state recruitment agencies revise examination guidelines to mandate Tamil language proficiency for all vacancies situated within Tamil Nadu. Stalin reaffirmed the DMK's commitment to defending the economic rights of local youth, promising determined resistance against policies that undermine regional employment.
