DMK president M.K. The corporate entity agreed to pay substantial monetary penalties to American regulatory authorities after confessing that kickbacks were disbursed to secure building permits and environmental clearances for its Chennai campus. Stalin remarked that the ruling dispensation's systemic corruption has now made Tamil Nadu an international laughingstock.

Stalin stated that the confession made before international judicial bodies proves that corruption under the AIADMK administration has reached pervasive, institutionalized heights.
