DMK president M.K. Stalin delivered an impassioned address at the party's Mupperum Vizha in Tiruvannamalai, declaring that the DMK is prepared to make any sacrifice to defeat central Hindi imposition. Stalin drew a sharp contrast between proponents of majoritarian assimilation and defenders of constitutional democracy, asserting that those who envision a monolithic Hindi-centric territory seek to impose linguistic dominance, whereas those who cherish India demand equal respect for linguistic diversity.
Stalin announced that the struggle against cultural homogenization will not remain confined to Tamil Nadu's borders. He emphasized that the DMK will forge powerful alliances with non-Hindi speaking states across eastern, western, and southern India to construct a formidable federal coalition against central imposition. Stalin cautioned the Union Government that attempting to replace rich classical languages with a single preferred tongue threatens the emotional and constitutional foundation of the Indian republic.
He recalled that the DMK's history was forged through heroic linguistic struggles led by Perarignar Anna and Muthamizharignar Kalaignar. Stalin urged party cadres to stand united on the frontlines of this cultural defense, affirming that the Dravidian movement will persistently protect Tamil linguistic heritage from central coercion.
