DMK president M.K. Stalin issued a stern organizational directive instructing party functionaries and cadres across all districts to immediately cease erecting banners, cutouts, and flex boards for party events. Stalin reiterated that he had repeatedly advised against hazardous promotional displays that obstruct vehicular traffic and endanger pedestrian safety. He warned that any party member who defies this organizational instruction will face swift and uncompromising disciplinary action, including immediate expulsion from the DMK.
Stalin noted that public roads and pedestrian pathways must remain completely secure for daily commuters, particularly young school students, elderly citizens, and two-wheeler riders. He stated that genuine political popularity and cadre enthusiasm must be demonstrated through disciplined public service and grassroots community assistance rather than wasteful, dangerous street propaganda. Stalin reminded party organizers that the DMK has submitted an official affidavit before the Madras High Court committing to an absolute ban on political hoardings.
He directed district secretaries and regional functionaries to actively monitor local gatherings and ensure total compliance with the ban. Stalin affirmed that organizational discipline and public safety must always take precedence over ostentatious political celebrations across Tamil Nadu.
