The slowdown in the national economy is now evident from the abysmal GDP rate
Will the BJP Government at least now wake up and start addressing real issues - job losses, industrial slump, rural distress - rather than speaking in mere rherotric and chest thumping? #EconomyCrisis
DMK president M.K. Stalin expressed serious alarm over sharp declines in national GDP growth rates, stating that dismal economic indicators demonstrate an undeniable slowdown across key manufacturing and agrarian sectors. He criticized the Union BJP government for relying on empty political rhetoric and celebratory slogans instead of confronting pressing structural crises impacting ordinary citizens.
Stalin urged central leaders to recognize widespread unemployment, industrial contraction, and rural distress as urgent national emergencies requiring substantive policy redressal. He pointed out that core manufacturing sectors, including automotive production, textile milling, and construction, face crippling demand contractions that have resulted in massive job layoffs. The DMK leader stressed that declining rural purchasing power and sluggish agricultural returns are compounding financial hardships for millions of agrarian households.
Calling for an immediate halt to diversionary politics, Stalin demanded pragmatic economic measures, including tax relief for small enterprises, expanded public investment, and stimulus packages to boost consumer demand. He asserted that the central administration must prioritize job creation and sustainable economic welfare over ideological polarization, reaffirming the DMK's commitment to holding the Union Government accountable for its fiscal stewardship.
