DMK president M.K. Stalin delivered a keynote address at a special seminar organized by the DMK Farmers Wing in Thanjavur to address the grievances of Cauvery delta agriculturalists. Speaking to thousands of cultivators, agrarian organizers, and party cadre, Stalin affirmed the party's unwavering dedication to resolving persistent agrarian challenges caused by drought, unseasonal floods, and water disputes.

Stalin recalled the landmark contributions of past DMK administrations in modernizing delta irrigation networks, desilting canals, ensuring uninterrupted free agricultural electricity, and defending Tamil Nadu's riparian entitlements. He noted that the ongoing agrarian distress in the delta breadbasket is worsened by the ruling AIADMK government's administrative neglect, delayed crop compensation disbursements, and indifferent water resource management. Stalin stated that preserving the livelihoods of farming families is vital to maintaining Tamil Nadu's food security.

The DMK president pledged that his party will continue to mobilize farmer organizations, conduct legislative interventions, and formulate responsive agrarian policies to revitalize rural livelihoods. Stalin affirmed that the DMK stands shoulder to shoulder with delta farmers in their struggle for water rights, debt mitigation, and fair returns for their agricultural labor.
