DMK president M.K. Stalin conveyed hearty congratulations to former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh upon his unopposed re-election to the Rajya Sabha representing Rajasthan. Commending the veteran statesman, economist, and parliamentarian, Stalin observed that the Upper House of Parliament and the entire nation would derive immense benefit from Dr. Singh's profound economic expertise, administrative wisdom, and dignified leadership during a period of escalating national challenges.

Stalin recalled the exceptional collaborative relationship shared between the DMK and the United Progressive Alliance government under Dr. Singh's ten-year tenure as Prime Minister. During that progressive era, transformative welfare and development initiatives including the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, the Right to Information Act, classical language status for Tamil, and critical infrastructure allocations for Tamil Nadu were successfully enacted. Dr. Singh's tenure was distinguished by inclusive economic expansion, institutional stability, and respect for coalition partners.

In an era characterized by deepening macroeconomic distress, manufacturing slowdowns, and institutional erosion, Stalin noted that Dr. Singh's authoritative voice in Parliament is indispensable for guiding national fiscal policies. He wished the former Prime Minister robust health and continued success in serving the republic.
