Responding to the humanitarian catastrophe caused by severe monsoon flooding and devastating landslides in neighboring Kerala, DMK president M.K. Stalin launched an urgent statewide disaster relief mobilization drive. Highlighting that approximately 2.5 lakh displaced persons were sheltered in emergency relief camps across affected districts, Stalin appealed to party cadres, voluntary organizations, and the general public to donate essential relief supplies to support rehabilitation efforts for affected families.

Stalin designated the DMK party headquarters, Anna Arivalayam in Chennai, as the central coordination hub for receiving, sorting, and dispatching emergency relief consignments. He requested citizens to contribute non-perishable food grains, rice, drinking water, clothing, bedspreads, infant nutrition, and primary medical supplies to alleviate immediate distress in flood-inundated regions. Reaffirming the deep fraternal bond and cultural solidarity uniting the peoples of Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Stalin noted that mutual assistance during natural calamities transcends regional boundaries and embodies progressive humanitarian values.

Stalin commended party volunteers who immediately mobilized ground logistics to dispatch aid convoys to Kerala's worst-affected districts. He urged all sections of society to contribute generously to ongoing humanitarian relief operations and assist neighboring communities in overcoming calamity.
