DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed a vibrant public meeting at Umarabad, canvassing votes for DMK nominee Kathir Anand in the Vellore parliamentary election. Meeting with local community leaders, students, and workers, Stalin reaffirmed the DMK's historic commitment to secularism, social harmony, and educational advancement for all minority communities.
Stalin highlighted that Umarabad has long been a notable center of learning and commerce, yet the area suffers from poor public healthcare infrastructure and deficient arterial road connectivity. He condemned the ruling AIADMK government for acting in subservience to the central regime, thereby compromising the rights and safety of religious and linguistic minorities across Tamil Nadu. Stalin stressed that electing Kathir Anand would reinforce progressive secular representation in Parliament, ensuring that minority welfare schemes and developmental funding receive decisive parliamentary backing. He insisted that pluralism remains Tamil Nadu's greatest strength.
Stalin called upon the electorate in Umarabad to reject divisive political forces and consolidate their support behind the DMK. He commended the communal brotherhood and pluralistic ethos of the local population. Stalin affirmed that the DMK remains an unwavering shield protecting constitutional secularism and minority empowerment across the state.
