DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed an enthusiastic election campaign meeting at Alangayam, canvassing support for DMK candidate Kathir Anand in the Vellore parliamentary constituency. Accompanied by alliance leaders and district functionaries, Stalin presented the DMK's vision for uplifting agrarian communities, generating rural employment, and improving public healthcare across the hilly and forested tracts of the region.

Stalin highlighted that rural habitations surrounding Alangayam continue to suffer from chronic neglect under the AIADMK state regime, noting severe drinking water deficits and poorly maintained connecting roads. He reminded the electorate that previous DMK administrations under former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi had expanded rural development funds, built bridge infrastructure, and waived agricultural loans to support distressed families. Stalin pledged that electing Kathir Anand would ensure dedicated advocacy in New Delhi to secure special development packages and rural connectivity grants for Alangayam.

He called upon the residents to reject political complacency by supporting the Rising Sun symbol decisively on polling day. Stalin commended the active participation of youth and women cadres, asserting that broad public solidarity reflects an inevitable victory for the DMK alliance in Vellore.
