DMK president M.K. Stalin celebrated a significant victory for language rights and rural youth after the Union Minister announced the cancellation of the postal department recruitment examination that had been restricted to Hindi and English. Following intense protests led by DMK parliamentarians, the central government confirmed that the examination will be reconducted with question papers provided in the Tamil language.
Stalin highlighted that this positive development is the direct outcome of relentless, coordinated resistance waged by DMK members inside both the Parliament and the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. He pointed out that conducting exams exclusively in Hindi and English deliberately discriminated against candidates educated in regional languages, depriving qualified Tamil Nadu youth of legitimate central employment opportunities. Stalin asserted that the reversal serves as a decisive rebuke to political skeptics who questioned what the DMK's parliamentary contingent could achieve against central unilateralism.
He commended party lawmakers for their resolute advocacy on the floor of both houses in defending linguistic equality. Stalin reiterated that the DMK will remain vigilant against all administrative attempts to impose Hindi or restrict employment avenues for non-Hindi-speaking candidates across federal departments.
