DMK president M.K. Stalin issued a sharp rebuttal to the ruling AIADMK leadership, cautioning state ministers against peddling false claims regarding the origin of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test in Tamil Nadu. Stalin reminded the public that even while serving as a constituent partner in the United Progressive Alliance, the DMK took decisive legal action and successfully secured judicial stay orders preventing NEET implementation.
Stalin emphasized that the present crisis confronting Tamil Nadu medical aspirants stems entirely from the total surrender of the AIADMK administration to the Bharatiya Janata Party. He pointed out that the state government compromised Tamil Nadu's hard-won medical admission system based on Class 12 board marks, which had democratized access for rural, backward, and impoverished government school students. Stalin stressed that the ruling regime is attempting to deflect accountability for its own complicity in allowing NEET to crush the medical dreams of rural aspirants.
He warned the ruling establishment to cease misleading the public with fabricated narratives and focus on securing total exemption for the state. Stalin declared that the DMK will persistently fight through legislative, judicial, and public avenues to abolish NEET and protect medical education opportunities for Tamil Nadu students.
