DMK president M.K. Stalin strongly condemned the AIADMK government for pushing state transport corporation employees into sudden protest action by failing to disburse their rightful monthly salaries on time. Stalin expressed profound concern over the severe hardship inflicted on daily commuters, office workers, and students due to disrupted bus operations across the state, holding the state leadership solely responsible for creating avoidable public turmoil.
Stalin asserted that the administration's inability to pay basic monthly wages to its own workforce exposes the total collapse of governance and disastrous fiscal mismanagement within state departments. He noted that transport workers, who maintain essential public connectivity day and night under strenuous working conditions, have been subjected to recurring delays in salary payments, retirement benefits, and provident fund settlements. Stalin criticized the ruling regime for diverting statutory employee contributions while driving public transport corporations into severe financial distress.
Demanding immediate settlement of all outstanding salary dues, Stalin urged the government to resolve the genuine grievances of transport employees without vindictive disciplinary action. He pledged that the DMK will steadfastly defend the rights and welfare of public transport workers.
