DMK president M.K. Stalin sharply criticized the glaring disparity in civic water distribution across Chennai, pointing out that government water tankers were being lavishly routed to the private residences of ministers while common citizens spent entire nights waiting in agonizing street queues for single pots of water. Stalin emphasized that such feudal discrimination by the ruling regime causes profound public resentment and exposes a callous contempt for working-class families.

Stalin affirmed that providing safe, reliable, and protected drinking water to every citizen without discrimination is the foundational obligation of any civilized and responsible government. He highlighted that underprivileged residents in congested urban settlements and municipal wards were being forced to spend substantial portions of their meager daily wages on private water suppliers or consume contaminated brackish water. Stalin criticized the municipal administration for prioritizing VIP residences over hospitals, schools, and impoverished residential colonies.

He demanded that the administration dismantle preferential VIP quotas immediately and redirect all available municipal water tanker fleets toward distressed residential localities. Stalin asserted that access to clean drinking water is a fundamental human right that must be guaranteed equally to all.
