DMK president M.K. Stalin expressed heartfelt appreciation to party functionaries, local volunteers, and grassroots cadres across Tamil Nadu for responding proactively to his public appeal by distributing free potable drinking water to severely distressed communities. Stalin noted that while reports of party units deploying water tankers, installing community sintex tanks, and supplying drinking water in affected neighborhoods were comforting, the sheer scale of the crisis requires even greater dedication.
Stalin specifically called upon DMK district secretaries, legislators, and parliamentarians to redouble their humanitarian outreach and utilize all available local resources to sustain continuous drinking water supply to vulnerable households. He pointed out that ordinary working families, daily wage earners, and elderly residents were enduring immense physical hardship waiting for hours in sweltering heat, while official municipal supply systems had collapsed due to government unpreparedness. Stalin emphasized that public service during times of natural adversity is the guiding ethos of the Dravidian movement.
He urged party workers to maintain relief operations with compassion and fairness, ensuring that marginalized habitations and rural hamlets receive uninterrupted support. Stalin affirmed that the DMK will always stand in the frontlines of public welfare.
