DMK president M.K. Stalin issued a fiery warning to the Union government against attempting to impose compulsory Hindi instruction on Tamil Nadu through the proposed draft National Education Policy. Stalin asserted that language consciousness flows deeply in the veins of Tamilians, declaring that if anyone attempts to forcefully inject Hindi into the educational curriculum of the state, the DMK will wage an unyielding and uncompromising democratic war to defeat such cultural aggression.
Stalin announced that the newly elected parliamentary contingent of the DMK will articulate powerful and coordinated resistance on the floor of both houses of Parliament. He reminded the central leadership that Tamil Nadu has a proud history of leading historic anti-Hindi agitations in 1938 and 1965, which shaped the political destiny of South India and entrenched the principle of linguistic equality. Stalin emphasized that promoting a single language undermines India's foundational pluralism, disadvantage non-Hindi speaking students in central employment, and reduce diverse nationalities into second-class citizens.
He reiterated that the DMK will not rest until all constitutional languages in the Eighth Schedule receive equal official status in Union governance. Stalin affirmed that Tamil dignity will never be compromised.
