DMK president M.K. Stalin extended a passionate invitation to party workers, alliance cadres, and the people of Tamil Nadu to assemble in large numbers at the YMCA grounds in Nandanam, Chennai, on June 3. Stalin described June 3, the birth anniversary of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, as an auspicious festival for the party and an inspiring day of pride for all Tamil-speaking people across the world, noting that Karunanidhi's memory is inextricably woven into the flesh and spirit of the Dravidian movement.
Stalin emphasized that the gathering served a dual purpose: paying homage to the immortal architect of modern Tamil Nadu and conveying heartfelt gratitude to the electorate for delivering a sweeping triumph to the DMK alliance in the parliamentary elections. He highlighted that Karunanidhi spent his entire life championing social justice, the rights of the backward and oppressed classes, and Tamil language revival. Stalin urged citizens and cadres to gather with pride to celebrate this hard-earned victory.
He affirmed that the DMK will continue to draw its organizational energy and political direction from Karunanidhi's ideals. Stalin pledged that the party will tirelessly serve Tamil Nadu's democratic and developmental interests.
