DMK president M.K. Stalin led an energetic campaign trail across Sulur assembly constituency, calling upon the electorate to vote decisively for the Rising Sun and end political subservience in Tamil Nadu. Addressing roadside gatherings in villages and towns, Stalin asserted that the incumbent state regime had surrendered Tamil Nadu's autonomy to the central ruling party simply to retain political power.
Stalin explained that this political compromise had exacted a heavy toll on the livelihood of ordinary citizens. Sulur's once-thriving micro, small, and medium industrial units faced stagnation, while local weavers and agricultural laborers were left without institutional relief. Public grievances regarding erratic drinking water supply and poor rural road connectivity were systematically ignored by ruling ministers. Stalin stated that electing the DMK candidate would send a powerful message that the people of Tamil Nadu would not tolerate governance subordinated to external political masters.
Stalin urged voters to stand firm against corrupt inducements and exercise their democratic franchise with pride. He affirmed that the DMK remains committed to defending state rights, fostering industrial growth, and delivering equitable welfare governance to all sections.
