DMK president M.K. Stalin strongly condemned the Tamil Nadu government for unceremoniously evicting veteran Communist leader and freedom fighter R. Nallakannu from the government quarters where he had resided for twelve years. Stalin described the eviction as an act of profound disrespect toward a nonagenarian leader who had dedicated his entire life to public service, agrarian labor struggles, and selfless sacrifice for the downtrodden.

Stalin highlighted that Comrade Nallakannu represented the highest ideals of personal integrity, simplicity, and social commitment in Tamil Nadu's political history. Despite decades of selfless leadership and sacrifice, he lived without personal property, relying entirely on modest state accommodations. To abruptly displace such an iconic figure without providing suitable alternative housing demonstrated administrative insensitivity and sheer bureaucratic callousness. Stalin demanded that the state government immediately allocate appropriate, dignified housing for Comrade Nallakannu without subjecting him to further inconvenience, distress, or bureaucratic delays.

Stalin stressed that true governance honors leaders of high moral stature and unblemished public service. He called upon the administration to rectify this grave misstep promptly and treat elderly public stalwarts with dignity and reverence.
