Editorial context

DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed an election campaign meeting in Sulur constituency, detailing the acute hardships experienced by the industrial and agrarian communities of the region under the AIADMK administration throughout recent years. Speaking before weavers, foundry owners, engineering workers, and rural families, Stalin emphasized that Sulur's economic vitality had been paralyzed by poorly conceived economic policies, punitive taxes, and complete lack of administrative support from the state government.

Stalin pointed out that Coimbatore and Tiruppur districts, the manufacturing hubs of South India, had suffered immense damage due to GST implementation, skyrocketing raw material prices, and irregular electricity tariffs. Powerloom units and engineering workshops in Sulur were forced to scale down operations, leading to widespread retrenchments and livelihood insecurity. Instead of offering tax concessions, subsidized power, or loan rescheduling, the ruling AIADMK government imposed higher local fees and neglected industrial infrastructure.

Stalin pledged that a DMK government will champion the revival of micro, small, and medium enterprises, reduce regulatory red tape, and ensure reliable water and power utilities. He urged voters to support the Rising Sun to restore regional prosperity, economic stability, and democratic accountability.

This is an initiative of unofficial DMK and Dravidian Ideology supporter, a fan of Thanthai Periyar, Perarignar Anna and Kalaignar — not affiliated with any official DMK party or persons.
