Editorial context

DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed a crowded election meeting in the historic assembly constituency of Thiruparankundram, appealing to voters to support the DMK candidate under the Rising Sun symbol. Stalin noted that Thiruparankundram had witnessed repeated political turmoil and judicial controversies under the AIADMK administration, which utilized money power and administrative pressure to subvert democratic outcomes rather than addressing people's welfare.

Stalin highlighted the acute civic and economic problems confronting the temple town and surrounding rural panchayats, including perennial water scarcity, neglected drainage systems, and lack of municipal infrastructure for visiting pilgrims. Small handloom weavers, flower cultivators, and rural daily-wage earners had received zero policy support from the state government to counter mounting economic distress. Stalin pointed out that the AIADMK regime was solely concerned with prolonging its corrupt tenure by maintaining an unholy alliance with the central BJP government at the expense of Tamil Nadu's rights.

Stalin urged the electorate of Thiruparankundram to deliver a decisive verdict for the DMK, asserting that every vote for the Rising Sun brings Tamil Nadu closer to honest, progressive governance and social justice.

This is an initiative of unofficial DMK and Dravidian Ideology supporter, a fan of Thanthai Periyar, Perarignar Anna and Kalaignar — not affiliated with any official DMK party or persons.
