Speaking before a packed gathering of residents and coalition workers, Stalin explained that the bye-election presented a clear opportunity to dismantle an illegitimate regime and initiate transformative administrative change.

Stalin focused on the acute civic grievances troubling the constituency's diverse population. Rapid urbanization without adequate municipal planning had resulted in severe traffic congestion, broken roadways, and untreated sewage overflowing into residential streets. In addition, local weavers and pottery artisans in Vilacheri struggled under unsupportive economic policies and steep raw material prices. Stalin assured the public that a DMK legislator would actively champion constituency issues in the Assembly, ensuring the modern upgrade of civic amenities, desilting of key water bodies, and establishment of dedicated artisan assistance centers.
