DMK president M.K. Stalin asserted that public disillusionment with the ruling AIADMK dispensation was so pervasive that even grass-roots party workers and traditional supporters of the ruling party had grown thoroughly disgusted with their leadership's venality and political subservience. Stalin noted that ordinary AIADMK cadres felt deeply humiliated seeing their party's leadership surrender state autonomy and regional pride to the central BJP government merely to safeguard personal wealth and prolong their hold on ministerial power.
Stalin pointed out that the Edappadi Palaniswami government had completely abandoned governance, reducing the state administration to an auction house where public contracts, university appointments, and welfare transfers were traded for illicit commissions. While ordinary citizens grappled with severe water shortages, agrarian distress, and skyrocketing youth unemployment, ministers remained solely preoccupied with engineering political defections and siphoning public treasury resources. Even loyal party functionaries were dismayed by the unprincipled alliance forged with the BJP, an ideological outfit historically antagonistic to Tamil interests.
Stalin urged voters across party lines to unite behind the DMK's Rising Sun symbol to decisively dismantle the corrupt establishment and restore dignity to Tamil Nadu.
