DMK president M.K. Stalin expressed deep grief and shock over the deadly serial bomb blasts targeting churches and hotels in Colombo on Easter Sunday, which claimed hundreds of innocent civilian lives. Stalin described the carnage as a heart-wrenching assault on humanity, calling for swift, uncompromising action to identify and neutralize the extremist networks responsible for the synchronized bloodshed.
Stalin emphasized that violence driven by religious bigotry or ethnic hatred represents an intolerable threat to global civilization and peace. Devotees gathered in peaceful prayer and travelers holidaying in hotels were mercilessly murdered in a calculated attack designed to rupture communal harmony. Stalin affirmed that no cause or grievance can ever justify horrific mass casualties against unarmed civilians. He called upon international bodies, regional leaderships, and civilized societies to unite firmly in confronting organized terror and eliminating ideological fanaticism in every form.
Stalin conveyed the sincere solidarity and sorrow of the people of Tamil Nadu to the grieving families and the injured in Sri Lanka. He stressed that humanitarian forces worldwide must stand resilient against terror to preserve compassion, pluralism, and enduring peace.
