DMK president M.K. Stalin commemorated the birth anniversary of chief constitutional architect Dr. B.R. Ambedkar by paying floral tributes and garlanding his statue, before embarking on intensive election campaigning across Gudiyattam and Sholinghur constituencies. Stalin declared that Dr. Ambedkar's foundational principles of equality, social justice, and constitutional morality serve as the guiding philosophy of the Dravidian movement in its unyielding battle against regressive forces.
Stalin observed that under the Modi-led regime in New Delhi, the Indian Constitution and its core provisions protecting reservation rights and marginalized communities faced grave peril. Autonomous institutions were eroded, and deliberate attempts were made to subvert affirmative action policies that had uplifted generations of oppressed citizens. In Tamil Nadu, the subservient AIADMK government failed to defend social justice, quietly enabling anti-reservation measures and communal polarization. Stalin asserted that this election was a crucial democratic crusade to preserve the constitutional protections gifted by Dr. Ambedkar.
Stalin stated that the electrifying public reception in Gudiyattam and Sholinghur demonstrated that citizens were ready to reject reactionary politics on April 18. He called for a massive victory to uphold social justice nationwide.
