DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed a massive public gathering during his election campaign tour across Gudiyattam assembly constituency. Stalin spoke passionately about the worsening livelihood conditions confronting thousands of women, daily-wage workers, and small entrepreneurs engaged in the historic safety match, beedi, and leather manufacturing sectors that form the economic backbone of the Gudiyattam region.

Stalin underscored that these traditional labor-intensive industries were severely crippled by unscientific GST rates, rising raw material prices, and total absence of governmental subsidies. Instead of extending financial packages or modernizing local industrial infrastructure, the state and central regimes abandoned working-class families to devastating job losses and debt traps. Along with industrial distress, local town residents endured severe municipal neglect, including inadequate drinking water supply from the Palar river basin, unmanaged sewage networks, and under-equipped government hospitals.

Stalin asserted that the Secular Progressive Alliance stands fully committed to protecting cottage industries and safeguarding the social security of informal workers. He promised that a DMK administration will revive regional industries and upgrade civic amenities, calling on voters to cast their ballots for the Rising Sun. Dedicated industrial revival remains essential to safeguard regional economic vitality.
