DMK president M.K. Stalin launched a sharp public attack against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami, accusing both leaders of engaging in blatant political deceit to distract from catastrophic governance failures. Stalin observed that while Narendra Modi hypocritically posed as a poor mother's son, he functioned exclusively for corporate oligarchs; similarly, Palaniswami posed as an ordinary farmer while brutally repressing agrarian protests and grabbing farm lands for green corridor projects.
Stalin emphasized that the people of Tamil Nadu saw clearly through this manufactured political posturing. Under Modi's rule, ordinary working families suffered unprecedented economic devastation through demonetization and GST, while farmers committing suicide received neither debt relief nor fair crop prices. In Tamil Nadu, Palaniswami's regime distinguished itself only through police firings on peaceful protesters in Thoothukudi, rampant tender corruption, and complete subservience to central dictates. Stalin declared that April 18 offered the definitive opportunity for citizens to drive both deceptive rulers out of office simultaneously.
Stalin called upon every elector to prepare for polling day with uncompromising democratic resolve. A vote for the Rising Sun will dismantle autocratic misrule and re-establish honest, empathetic governance.
